Certification Course

The 2 day comprehensive training is held by an experienced Schwinn Cycling Master Instructor, who will guide you through practical and theoretical topics providing you with everything you need to know to get started and help assist participants in reaching their individual health and fitness goals. The certification is a step in the right direction and aids as a basic platform for any potential indoor cycling instructor. The course will enhance your knowledge and further your career prospects.

To become Schwinn® Cycling certified, you will have to complete classes covering a broad range of topics including the following principles:

Bike Set-up

How to perform the right bike set-up for a safe and effective class

Technique

  • Body positioning and technique riding Schwinn® bikes
  • Safety and effectiveness of indoor cycling

Terrains and Target Heart Rate

  • Description of the target heart rate zones and their benefits
  • Creation of different terrains according to target heart rate zones
  • Explanation of each environment

Fact-Based

  • Anatomy, physiology and biomechanics of cycling
  • Concept driven from outdoor cycling

Coaching

  • Exploring the advantages of the instructor playing the role of a coach, as opposed to merely a group fitness leader
  • Providing coaches with the tools they need to achieve the specific training goals of each student

Music

  • Music Analysis
  • Music selection adapted to the target groups

In-Depth Programming

  • Constructing diverse, yet flexible classes with specific training goals in mind
