Mission & Objectives

Motivate ~ Educate ~ Life-Long Results :

The Nautilus Institute™: Helping people begin and improve upon a lifetime of high-quality fitness through:

  • Expert information
  • Clinical research
  • Practical applications

Start Smart:

First and foremost, people need resources to help them start smart. One cannot go from "hopeful” to "Hercules” or from "couch potato" to "cover model" in one day. Unrealistic expectations end up being discouraging instead of motivational! Exercise should be an uplifting and progressive process according to each person's readiness, by doing just a little more than they did the day before.

Stay Smart:

People also need resources to help them stay smart as they progress. Once they become motivated and active, people seek credible guidance and advice to keep them on track for success on their personal fitness journey. For example, a well-balanced workout includes strength, cardio, balance, and flexibility.

Do it for Life:

People need support as they transition through various stages of life. More people are in their 60s and beyond today than ever before. The Boomers are in their 40s-50s. The Echo Boomers are in their 30s-40s. Generation Y is hitting their 20s. Our school-age generation needs the foundational education to incorporate wise fitness habits that can last a lifetime.

To meet these needs, we'll conduct research, convene experts, provide helpful guidance, and develop and support programs that can change peoples' fitness regimens for a lifetime.
